June 13 - 17: Cook Like A Rock Star!

SOLD OUT

From rock candy to guitar shaped California style pizza, we'll rock our way through the week with our favorite Rock Star's foods and learning what life's like on the road for our favorite rock stars.  We'll "travel" throughout the country and internationally like Rock Stars while learning about different food cultures throughout the United States and the World.  From New York style cheesecake to Southwestern Fajitas to Chinese Fried Rice to Japanese Hibachi Grill favorites to so much more, we'll learn how Rock Stars stay healthy on the road. We'll also be sizzling up Taylor Swift's favorite cookies and One Direction's favorite meals!  Can't wait for this new camp adventure!

 

June 20 - 24: Charlie & The Chocolate Factory

Always a sell out is our Charlie & the Chocolate Factory camp at Flour Power with tons of Willy Wonka style fun!  We'll stir up Charlie Bucket O' Chicken Tenders, Willy Wonka's Molten Lava Cakes with Homemade Ice Cream, Veruca Salt 'N Pepper's Baked Oven Fries, Violet’s Blueberry Buckle, Golden Egg Frittatas, Fizzy Lifting Drinks, Oompa Loompa Buttermilk Pancake Stacks, Factory Stained Glass Window Cookies, Mike Teavee’s Swirl Sandwiches, and SO MUCH MORE!  From food science inventions to creative science experiments that would make Willy Wonka proud, this is a fun camp not to be missed!  Hurry and register early as this camp always sells out fast!

 

June 27 - July 1: Movie Thyme: Food From Favorite Movies - SOLD OUT

Movies have the best foods!  From FROZEN, we’ll sizzle up Olaf’s Buttermilk Pancake Stacks and we’ll make HARRY POTTER'S famous Cauldron Cakes.  From LADY & THE TRAMP, we’ll sizzle up homemade spaghetti pie along with CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS salsa mini meatballs.  We’ll stir up some hot fun with RIO’s Spring Carnival Baked Apple Egg Rolls.  From Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, we’ll make molten lava cakes with homemade oreo ice cream.  Wookie Cookies from Star Wars are always a hit along with Flying Tea Cakes from Mary Poppins!  We’ll watch select family friendly movies and then head to the kitchen to sizzle up some movie thyme fun!  Just. Can’t. Wait.  This camp sold out faster than any other Summer Camp in 2015!

 

July 5 - 8: Cake My Day: Culinary Baking Boot Camp -

Is your Lil' Chef a baker & dream of amazing confections dancing in their heads at night?  This all new camp is for you!  From homemade fondant to buttercream, chocolate icing and whipped icings to learning about what roles salt, baking powder and baking soda play in recipes, your Lil' Chef will be ready to stir up some fun after this camp!  Aside from cooking cakes, we’ll make pies, breads, casseroles and so much more.  We'll learn how to make stars, flowers and roses with our decorating tips and professional pastry bags too just like professional bakers do every day.  We'll also have healthy lunches with fruits and veggies daily to keep our fun in check! 

 

July 11 - 15: North, South, East, West:

Foods Americans Love Best

We’ll travel the USA this week with each day focusing on regions of the United States, it’s traditions throughout the year, and regional culture.  We’ll have themed art projects all week too.  Menu selections include Cape Cod Baked Potato Chips, NY Style Cheesecake Squares, Hawaiian Polynesian Veggie Egg Noodles, Southwest Fajitas, Homemade Salsa, NY Yankee Giant Pretzels, California Pizza, Little Italy Hand-cranked Pasta, Wisconsin Cheese Soup and tons more!

 

July 18 - 22: Christmas In July: Ho Ho Ho & Mistletoe

We’ll be shaking our jingle bells and singing about winter holidays in this camp!  It might be the middle of the summer, but we’ll be filled with good tidings of great cheer inside Flour Power this week!  We’ll have holiday themed art projects that you can tuck away til Christmas such as salt doh ornaments! Menu selections this week include Snowman Pancakes, Red Rider Cider, Merry Macaroni, Santa’s Favorite Gingerbread Buddies, Pretzel Marching Snowmen, Grandma’s Bread Pudding, Turkey and Dressing with all the sides, Christmas Tree Pizzas and SO MUCH MORE!  Now let’s see if we can keep the Grinch from stealing all of our food!

 

July 25 - 29: Iron Chef

Head on over for five amazing days of AMAZING friendly competition.  Your lil' chef will work with teammates to sizzle and giggle through so much fun in this camp with tons of secret fresh ingredients!  Because it's Iron Chef, we have to keep the menu a secret ... because we have no idea what their big imaginations will think up in this camp, but we'll be sure to keep the healthy parts in check too!  We'll also learn about nutrition, eating a "rainbow of colors" and etiquette as well.

 

August 1 - 5: Around the World in 5 Days:

All New Cuisines

We'll travel around the world with a new country every day!  From England's English Custards, Teas and Baked Chips to China's Fried Rice and Egg Rolls to Italy's Famous Alfredo Sauce and homemade pasta to so much more! We'll discover new flavors and cultures through a fun week of hands on learning in our kitchen studio!  We'll discover new food traditions around the world and new food vocabulary too along with themed art projects all week!  Can't wait for this new camp with all new foods!

 

August 8 - 12: Wizardly Kitchen Science & Magic

+ Food Art!

Does your lil’ chef love wizardly kitchen magic and inventing fun new things in the kitchen?  This is the perfect camp for you!  We’ll have an invention table everyday with ingredients to see what your lil’ chef’s big imagination can think up & create with teammates.  We’ll also experiment with Flubber, baking soda and other kitchen friendly ingredients to make explosions!  Menu selections this week include DaVinci Empanadas, Homemade Applesauce, Picasso’s Breakfast Omelets, Michelangelo’s Pizzas, Apple Dumplings, Lasagna Roll Ups, Veggie Orzo, Chicken Quesadillas, Monet’s Buttermilk Pancake Stacks and tons more!

 

 

August 15 - 19: Mom, Dad: I Want To Own

A Restaurant

Heard those words form your child recently?  Come on over to camp and let them learn what it takes to be a small business owner and a restaurant owner.  Founder Susan Caldwell will be in the studio to talk about the “real world” aspect of building a business and what it takes to make profits happen!  We’ll also have some visits from local chefs.  Over the course of the week, your child will "virtually" create a restaurant of their very own with a name, menu and complete design with the help of our staff.  Menu selections this week include Iron Chef Challenges, Stick Stack Pancakes, Mini Chicken Pot Pies, Cupcake Wars, Breakfast Quesadillas, Pizza, Blueberry Buckle and tons more!  We'll also have Iron Chef and Market Basket Challenges in this fun 5 day camp.

PRICING AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

Regular Camp Hours: 8:30 am to 4 pm.  Extended hours are available, beginning at 8 am and ending as late as 5 pm for an additional fee.  Please see below for the late or early drop off charge.

Camp Pricing:  Tuition is $299 per week & we require payment at the time of registration. The tuition includes all supplies, ingredients, lunch, morning & afternoon snacks and a recipe booklet to take home at the end of the week.  The only item your child needs to bring with him or her is a water bottle.  There is no registration fee.


Early Drop Off (8 am) and Late Pick Up for Full Day Camp (By 5 pm)
$25 each for the week ($25 for early drop off and $25 for late pick up).  We do not offer individual days for early drop off or late pick up for our week long camps.

 

Refunds and Changes: For camps the months of June - August, if you need to cancel, we will refund your tuition payment if you notify us in writing before April 15, 2016, less a $40 service fee.  If you need to change weeks and we have space available, we do not charge you to move weeks, but we do need advance notice in writing and space must be available in the new week in which you wish to attend.  We do not issue any refunds after April 15th.  We understand that plans do change sometimes, so if you need to make a change after April 15 and the camp is sold out, we will try to assist you in finding someone to take your child's space in camp (we often have wait lists), but we cannot issue a refund unless we can fill the space. A friend my attend in your child's place as long as you let us know in advance.

Inclement Weather/Sick Policy: Should we need to cancel a camp for an entire day due to weather, or if your child must attend their regular school day in order to make up a snow day, we will extend a Flour Power credit to you to be used towards the tuition for the one day for another camp.  We are sorry that we cannot offer refunds or credits for days that a child cannot attend camp due to illness or any other reasons for which camp is held, or for partial days that he or she may have missed, as our camps often are completely full.  Registering for a camp will indicate that you understand and agree to this policy and our other policies listed here.  If your child cannot attend on a day, a friend may attend in your child's place as long as you notify us in advance so we know who to expect :)

Age: Your child must be at least a rising Kindergartner and the age of 5 at the time of camp to attend our camps.  We have separate groups during Summer Camps and large track out camps based upon age. Generally, ages 5 to 8 are together and ages 9 to 12 are together during all Summer Camps. Our curriculum has been designed for children up to age 12.  We often let our older children help and assist our younger campers with art and craft projects.

We love spring at Flour Power and it's vibrant colors and fun food!  We're super excited about this new week long camp focusing on fresh, healthy ingredients that you can find at Farmer's Markets starting soon including Spring Bunch pizzas, Strawberry Mini Star Shine Muffins, Healthy Pineapple Upside Down Mini Bundt Cakes, Spinach Empanadas, Apple Turnovers, Fruit Kabob Wands, Pasta Primavera, and so much more!  We'll also have fun and creative spring art projects these two days at camp!
