Raleigh & Cary Track Out

Teacher Workday Camps

As parents, we look for educational opportunities to delight their senses and stretch their imaginations... As kids, we look for programs that are FUN!  Bring your Lil' Chef over and you'll pick up a newly self-confident child who will beg to cook dinner for you!  Your Lil' Chef will create his or her own snacks and lunch and we'll supply everything that he or she will need for an amazing week or day filled with newly developed life-long skills including math, science, reading and chemistry!

What We Do At Camp:

What do we do at camp all day?  Here's a sample of our schedule!  It does vary daily, but we strive to meet all of these objectives each week.  We average 8 lil' chefs per adult or instructor at our camps.

  • For hands on cooking activities.  At a minimum, we cook lunches, morning snack and afternoon snack.

  • We do food science experiements each day.

  • Each week, we discuss nutrition.  Sometimes in small groups, we may visit the grocery store by walking to it if it is within the center & it's safe to do so.

  • We have an etiquette manual that we cover topics from throughout the week, such as chewing with your mouth closed, being respectful, setting a proper table, etc

  • We do food art projects each week.

  • We have competitions to promote team work each week at camp.  This is usually a big highlight of the week!

  • Sometimes, we have DEAR time (drop everything and read)

  • On occassion, we may show family type short movies or shows.  All children appreciate some downtime too.

  • We promote imaginative thinking by creating menus, our ideal restaurant and doing fun taste tests.

  • We get messy and make new friends...  but most of all, we have a lot of fun!
